Focus & Scope

SIGMA is a scholarly journal dedicated to advancing knowledge, theory, research, and practice in Mathematics Education. The journal publishes empirical research, research and development studies, conceptual and theoretical papers, and scholarly literature reviews that contribute substantially to the advancement of mathematics education across educational contexts.

The journal covers mathematics education at primary, lower secondary, upper secondary/vocational, and higher education levels. Particular attention is given to strategic and emerging issues in mathematics teaching and learning, curriculum development, assessment, mathematical competencies, mathematics teacher education, educational technology, and contemporary developments in mathematics education.
